Burkina Faso/Counter-terrorism: President Ibrahim Traore rejects the option of dialogue with terrorists
Unlike some Burkinabe who advocate for negotiations with the bush criminals, President Ibrahim Traoré has firmly chosen to fight these malefactors.
On Thursday, July 11, he reaffirmed his commitment and determination in this struggle during a meeting with key stakeholders in Burkina Faso.
“We either fight them, or they fight us. We have no choice but to combat them,” he declared.
For Traoré, there is no possibility of alliances or peace with the criminals; they must be fought to permanently free the country from these bush enemies. Consequently, resources have been allocated to support the fighters.
The President continues to work tirelessly to further strengthen the operational capacity of Burkina Faso’s combat forces.
He announced during this national dialogue the recruitment and proper training of additional military personnel and the acquisition of more military equipment to better confront these enemies and achieve the desired objectives.
He also took the opportunity to galvanize and reinforce the hope of his fellow citizens regarding the success of this war, which will pave the way for the genuine commencement of the country’s socio-economic development.
The unwavering support and firm commitment of the people alongside the country’s authorities are indispensable for liberating the nation from the yoke of terrorism and imperialism.
