Enzo Fernandez cuts short his vacation and returns to Chelsea following controversy

Enzo Fernandez’s vacation has come to an early end. The 24-year-old Argentine midfielder, who recently won the Copa America, cut his holiday short to return swiftly to Chelsea, where he seeks to make amends after sparking a racism controversy during the Albiceleste celebrations.

According to “GiveMeSport”, Enzo Fernandez kept a low profile upon his return to Chelsea.

The Argentine World Cup champion apologized to his teammates, particularly the French players, and they made peace. However, this was only the first step.

GMS reports that Enzo Fernandez, along with Axel Disasi and Reece James, also met with the club’s management to discuss his situation.

The Chelsea hierarchy decided to involve Enzo Fernandez in the club’s charitable initiatives aimed at combating all forms of discrimination.

Additionally, Fernandez will make donations and participate in efforts to educate children about the harmful effects of offensive or discriminatory language in society.

After this meeting, the club considers the matter resolved, as announced by coach Enzo Maresca a few days ago, and the atmosphere in the locker room is now positive. The new season can begin on a good note.
