“Prove Yourself by scoring every Week,” Mikel challenges Jackson

If he scores every week and tells me to shut up, I’m all for it,” declared Chelsea legend John Obi Mikel in a pointed response to Nicolas Jackson’s recent outburst. The former Blues midfielder, known for his calm demeanor, didn’t shy away from addressing the harsh words from the 23-year-old Senegalese striker.

The clash between Mikel and Jackson erupted after the young forward, frustrated by criticism of his finishing, responded sharply to Mikel’s remarks.

Jackson, feeling the pressure from underwhelming performances, fired back with, “Shut your mouth, stop talking nonsense, we’re giving our all for Africa.”

Mikel’s response, however, was measured, signaling both respect for Jackson’s potential and a challenge for the striker to prove his worth.

This feud has not only highlighted the tensions between past and present Chelsea players but has also added pressure on Jackson to perform consistently, following a season where he netted 17 goals in 44 appearances.

The young forward now faces the task of living up to Mikel’s expectations and silencing his critics on the pitch
