Burkina Faso: The end of abusive practices under the governance of Captain Ibrahim Traoré

Under the leadership of President Ibrahim Traoré, Burkina Faso is taking decisive action to shield its citizens from economic exploitation. The unscrupulous practices of certain merchants, aimed at enriching a few at the expense of the many, are now being tackled with unwavering resolve.

The unchecked rise in prices of essential goods, which has severely impacted the purchasing power of Burkinabe, is being brought under control through firm political will and concrete measures.

The Ministry of Industrial Development, Trade, Handicrafts, and SMEs has ramped up its oversight efforts, shutting down more than 100 non-compliant shops and stores.

These punitive actions send a clear message: market manipulation and speculative practices will no longer be tolerated.

This initiative is a significant step toward effectively regulating markets to ensure fair and affordable prices for the population.

Change is gradually taking shape, reflecting the government’s commitment to prioritizing the welfare of its people.

By addressing abusive practices head-on, President Ibrahim Traoré reaffirms his dedication to restoring economic fairness and instilling hope in a nation striving for equity and sustainable prosperity.
