Togo advances industrialization with the Adétikopé Industrial Platform

President Faure Gnassingbé’s commitment to Togo’s industrialization is taking shape through strategic initiatives such as the Adétikopé Industrial Platform (PIA). This economic hub continues to attract investors, boosting business competitiveness and job creation.

Currently, around twenty national and international companies have established operations there, reflecting the site’s growing appeal.

On Tuesday, January 28, Minister of Industry and Investment Promotion Manuella Santos met with these businesses to assess progress and address existing challenges.

The PIA plays a pivotal role in diversifying Togo’s economy, with strong involvement from local stakeholders.

Nearly 60% of the companies operating within the platform are of Togolese or regional origin, highlighting a national commitment to industrialization.

The platform hosts a variety of sectors, including textiles, agribusiness, pharmaceuticals, and automotive manufacturing.

This momentum aligns with the government’s strategy to integrate local enterprises into the industrial fabric and maximize economic benefits for the country.

As part of this effort, Minister Manuella Santos visited three key companies already in operation: Brillante Industrie, Vivace Groupe, and Star Garments.

Specializing in apparel, construction, and textiles, respectively, these businesses showcase the success of reforms aimed at positioning the PIA as a driver of economic transformation.

Through such initiatives, Togo is establishing itself as a competitive industrial destination, guided by the President’s ambitious vision for employment and sustainable development.
