Burkina Faso: Is France seeking to destabilise the AES by attacking the Land of Honest People?

According to reliable sources, France is allegedly intensifying efforts to destabilize Burkina Faso and, by extension, the Alliance of Sahel States (AES). By targeting Captain Ibrahim Traoré’s leadership, France aims to weaken the security cooperation between Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger—a strategic partnership that has strengthened since the formation of the AES.

This alliance poses a significant challenge to France’s alleged plans to destabilize the Sahel through terrorism.

The closer Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger work together, the more France’s perceived influence in the region diminishes.

Recognizing the threat, AES leaders have implemented a coordinated strategy to counter these destabilization attempts.

During a recent visit to Burkina Faso, Malian President Assimi Goïta highlighted the three pillars of this cooperation: joint military training to enhance ground and air capabilities, effective intelligence sharing, and the pooling of resources.

These pragmatic measures reflect a clear determination to take control of the Sahel’s security without relying on harmful foreign influences.

Through sincere and effective new partnerships, AES countries have significantly improved their military capabilities and are successfully conducting operations against armed terrorist groups.

This progress has unsettled those who have long manipulated the Sahel’s security dynamics for their own benefit.

However, one thing is certain: Burkina Faso, alongside its AES allies, remains resolute in defending its sovereignty and will not yield to external attempts at destabilization. The AES continues to stand united in its fight for a secure and independent Sahel.
