Togo/Arab-African Summit: President Faure Seeks More Investments for His Country

Togolese President Faure Gnassingbe actively participated in the proceedings of the first Arab-African summit held on Friday, November 10, 2023, in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, alongside fellow African leaders.

Themed «Development and Prosperity: Agriculture, Education, Health, and Humanitarian Assistance», the summit aimed to strengthen bilateral and multilateral cooperation for effective and sustainable development of the African continent, benefiting its people.

Togo, which has maintained strong cooperative relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since the 1980s, took the opportunity to further enhance its bilateral cooperation with its long-standing partner.

The cooperation primarily focuses on agriculture, road infrastructure, energy or electricity, and hydraulics.

In addition to collective exchanges, the Togolese Head of State held discussions with Saudi businessmen and investors, aiming to establish partnerships and invite interested parties to invest in Togo, especially in priority sectors.

It is noteworthy that to attract foreign investors, President Faure Gnassingbe’s Togo has implemented significant reforms, creating a conducive business environment and facilitating the establishment or creation of businesses on Togolese soil.
