Warm Congratulations from Faure Gnassingbé to Félix Tshisekedi for his Reelection in the DRC

The President of Togo, Faure Gnassingbé, has extended warm congratulations to his counterpart Félix Tshisekedi following his reelection for a second term as the head of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Acknowledging the victory of his counterpart, the Togolese President emphasized the significance of this new mandate, which will be marked by the consolidation of the historical bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two states.

«In warm congratulations to my brother and friend, His Excellency Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, for his reelection as the President of the DRC, in accordance with the results of the Electoral Commission. This new term provides an opportunity to strengthen our historical bonds of friendship, brotherhood, and cooperation between our countries», wrote Faure Gnassingbé.

The Togolese President is among several heads of state who have conveyed messages of congratulations to the incumbent Congolese president after his reelection to the highest office in the country.

It is worth noting that Félix Tshisekedi was reelected with 73.34% of the votes and a participation rate of 43%, according to the National Electoral Commission (CENI).

President Félix Tshisekedi now has five years to continue his work of liberating the Congo.
