AES: Pupils and students from member countries and Guinea rally around the Alliance’s vision

The commitment of young students from member countries of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) and Guinea to the common vision of the AES Heads of State is now a tangible reality, as reported by the Burkina Faso Information Agency (AIB) from Ouagadougou.

Maouloune Hassan, Secretary-General of the AES and Guinea student and student bureau, emphasized the crucial importance of this initiative: «The Heads of State have paved the way, and it is our duty as young people in the education system to carry high the torch of this new common vision of our states. This involves strengthening our education systems to address the multiple challenges that lie ahead».

The delegation of the student and student bureau from the four West African countries, currently in a transitional period, expressed full support for the «enlightened vision» of the three Heads of State of the Alliance of Sahel States during a meeting with the Burkinabe Minister of Foreign Affairs, Karamoko Jean Marie Traoré.

These young individuals asserted their willingness to progressively contribute to strengthening relations between Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger, while sharing their experiences to increase their legitimacy among other young people and future generations.

Minister Traoré delivered a message of encouragement and responsibility to the youth delegation: «You are the future of the AES. You must make the rest of the world understand that this space is full of exceptional human resources. You must ensure succession and go beyond. Work in an inclusive environment and share your best practices to gain legitimacy among the youth and the younger ones while shining the vision of the AES».

He also assured the delegation of his full support, along with that of his colleagues, to accompany the initiatives of the AES student and student structure.
