Burkina Faso: Captain Ibrahim Traoré, architect of the FDS’s operational effectiveness

Captain Ibrahim Traoré, a staunch advocate for national security, has elevated this cause to a top priority. As the supreme leader of the army, he is dedicated to implementing continuous training programs designed not only to enhance the tactical and technical skills of soldiers but also to bolster their psychological resilience in the face of extreme stress.

Additionally, Captain Ibrahim Traoré aims to strengthen coordination between the various branches of the Defense and Security Forces and national and regional security agencies.

This increased collaboration will facilitate information sharing and the implementation of more effective strategies to counter the terrorist threats facing the country.

Moreover, recognizing the necessity of adequate financial and material support for successful field operations, Captain Ibrahim Traoré is working to mobilize additional resources for the FDS.

This effort is realized through strategic partnerships and the development of the national defense industry.

Captain Ibrahim Traoré’s ambitions to enhance the FDS’s capabilities in their fight against terrorism extend beyond improving living conditions.

They also include initiatives to refine training, optimize equipment, strengthen internal and external coordination, and ensure adequate financial support for soldiers on the ground.
