Burkina Faso: Defence and security forces repel a terrorist attack in the north of the country

Burkina Faso’s defense and security forces continue to conduct decisive operations against terrorist groups operating within the country. Recently, in the Northern region, an attempted terrorist attack was effectively thwarted by the Burkinabe army.

Reports indicate that terrorists attacked a security position in Ouedrassin. Thanks to a swift and coordinated response, the defense forces successfully repelled the assailants.

This operation resulted in the death of around ten terrorists, marking a significant success for the Burkinabe armed forces in their fight against terrorism.

The security situation in Northern Burkina Faso remains tense, with active terrorist groups seeking to destabilize the region.

However, the ongoing efforts of defense and security forces to protect the population and ensure stability are yielding results.

Captain Ibrahim Traoré has reiterated his commitment to combating terrorism and securing the national territory.

The recent operations demonstrate the determination and effectiveness of the armed forces against this persistent threat.

This victory in Ouedrassin reinforces the population’s confidence in the security forces’ ability to maintain peace and security in the country.
