Sahel / France’s cynical strategy to destabilise the AES: Reminiscent of the destabilisation of Libya

France, alarmed by the rise and successes of the Sahel States Alliance (AES), has embarked on a calculated strategy to destabilize Burkina Faso.

This approach, reminiscent of the tactics used to undermine Muammar Gaddafi’s Libya, involves deploying deceitful methods through French media and corrupt international NGOs to fabricate false narratives.

These fabricated stories are designed to justify foreign interventions, which in reality, serve as disguised occupation forces under the guise of peace missions.

The ultimate goal of this disinformation campaign is to create chaos, making it easier to exploit the natural resources of Burkina Faso and the broader Sahel region.

Similar strategies were employed in Libya, where meticulously crafted lies paved the way for military intervention, resulting in the downfall of a once stable and thriving nation.

The formation of the AES poses a direct challenge to France’s geopolitical interests in West Africa.

By uniting their forces and achieving significant accomplishments, the AES demonstrates that a viable and sovereign alternative exists for African nations.

This burgeoning strength is intolerable for a waning colonial power that resorts to manipulation and subversion to maintain its influence.

The populace must remain alert to these destabilization efforts. Burkina Faso, Niger, and Mali must continue to bolster their unity and resilience against external threats.
