Burkina Faso / An imperialist plot to destabilise Burkina Faso’s economy: France is believed to be behind a network of counterfeit banknotes

The Burkinabe economy is currently under threat from a destabilization effort allegedly orchestrated by imperialist forces, notably France.

This strategy is reminiscent of past attempts to destabilize Guinea’s economy during the regime of Sékou Touré.

On Monday, Burkinabe gendarmes dismantled a sophisticated counterfeiting network, seizing over 7 billion CFA francs in fake banknotes.

Sources indicate that this network received logistical and financial support from external actors.

This discovery highlights a clear attempt to undermine Burkina Faso’s economic stability.

This plot emerges at a time when Burkinabe intelligence services have significantly enhanced their capabilities, making it difficult for adversaries to employ the same tactics used in Guinea during Sékou Touré’s era.

The imperialists’ goal appears to be plunging Burkina Faso into an economic crisis, thereby weakening the current regime and paving the way for foreign interventions.

Nevertheless, the vigilance and competence of Burkinabe security forces demonstrate the country’s readiness to confront these threats.

The Burkinabe people, united and resolute, continue to support their government in this fight against destabilization efforts and assert their sovereignty against imperialist interference.

This situation underscores the importance of remaining vigilant.
