Sean “Diddy” Combs arrested in federal sex trafficking probe

Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested in New York City on federal charges linked to an ongoing sex trafficking investigation. The arrest follows earlier raids on his Los Angeles and Miami properties in March, part of a broader probe by US authorities.

According to the US Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Damian Williams, the arrest stems from a sealed indictment, which will be revealed soon.

Combs’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, expressed disappointment, maintaining that his client is innocent and looks forward to clearing his name in court.

Combs has been at the center of multiple legal battles since late 2023, when his ex-partner, Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, filed a lawsuit accusing him of sexual assault and abuse.

Several other lawsuits followed, with allegations ranging from rape to sex trafficking. Combs has denied all claims, dismissing them as baseless.

In February, his former producer Rodney Jones Jr. filed a suit accusing Combs of unwanted sexual advances.

The raids on his properties occurred a month later. His arrest comes just before the unsealing of the indictment, with authorities yet to provide further details.

Combs, one of hip-hop’s most prominent figures, is now facing serious charges that threaten to overshadow his three-decade-long career.

His legal team criticized the prosecution as unjust, emphasizing his contributions as an entrepreneur and philanthropist.

Authorities are expected to provide more information when the sealed indictment is made public.
