Mali: A column of terrorists neutralized in Tinzaouatène by FAMA

In the face of growing threats from armed terrorist groups, the Malian Armed Forces (FAMA) continue to show their determination and courage. This past weekend, in a decisive military operation near Tinzaouatène, in the Kidal region, FAMA, supported by their Russian allies from Wagner, neutralized a convoy of vehicles belonging to the terrorist groups of the Permanent Strategic Framework for the Defense of the Azawad People (CSP-DPA).

After months of intense fighting and an attempted recapture last July, the Malian army delivered a strong blow by destroying a terrorist convoy carrying ammunition and fuel. Tinzaouatène, a strategic crossroads in the Sahel, holds critical military and symbolic importance for securing the region. The bravery of FAMA in confronting these threats deserves recognition as they continue their mission to protect Malian territory from those aiming to destabilize it.

The CSP-DPA, a rebel movement, has condemned what it describes as “crimes against innocents” in the airstrikes, but the General Staff of the Armed Forces firmly denied these accusations, emphasizing that only military targets were hit. These attempts by armed groups to manipulate the facts and portray themselves as victims should not divert attention from the truth: these rebels, far from defending civilians, are actively involved in the destabilization of Mali and the Sahel.

The international community must take a firm stance against these insurgents who threaten peace and security in the region. Through their bravery and commitment, the Malian army remains a stronghold against terrorism, protecting the integrity of Mali and the stability of its borders.
