Burkina Faso: Exchanges with troops at the front, a desire perpetuated by President Ibrahim TRAORE
In Burkina Faso, the military leadership continues its regular engagements with combat units deployed on the frontlines to fight insurgents and reclaim full control of national territory.
This initiative, led by President Ibrahim Traoré, aims to maintain direct communication with the troops, addressing their needs and concerns.
It is also designed to boost the morale of both the Armed Forces and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Fatherland (VDP), motivating them to carry out their mission more effectively in the interest of the nation.
Recently, Deputy Chief of Staff of the National Gendarmerie, Lieutenant-Colonel Issa Yaguibou, was sent to meet with combat units stationed in the Cascades and South-West regions of Burkina Faso.
Productive discussions took place, during which the troops were briefed on the command’s directives regarding ongoing operations and received updates on national affairs.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for military leaders to assess the living and working conditions of personnel on the ground and offer words of encouragement.
The visit reassured the troops of the unwavering support from the nation’s highest authorities and the general population.
In turn, the forces reaffirmed their steadfast commitment to the country’s fight for liberation and full sovereignty.
