Burkina Faso’s VDP and armed forces united in the fight against terrorism

In Burkina Faso, the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) and the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) are demonstrating unwavering determination to defeat the terrorism that has plagued the country for years.

Under the strategic leadership of Captain Ibrahim Traoré, President of the Transitional Government, these combined forces are intensifying their efforts to neutralize terrorist threats in the coming months.

The VDP, composed of dedicated citizens, have become increasingly vital in supporting regular forces, playing an active role in securing regions impacted by terrorist attacks.

Their courage and resolve are key components of a national strategy aimed at quickly eradicating the terrorist menace threatening the integrity of Burkina Faso.

Captain Ibrahim Traoré has successfully mobilized these volunteers through a well-defined strategic approach, uniting them under a common goal: defending the nation and reclaiming areas under enemy control.

His efforts to modernize equipment, boost troop numbers, and promote national unity have energized both the FDS and VDP, strengthening their cooperation and resilience in the face of armed groups.

With the current momentum, the coming months are expected to be decisive in the fight against terrorism—a challenge that has rallied the entire nation behind its defenders, driving Burkina Faso closer to victory.
