Barcelona/ the stance of the club about transfer rumour of Haaland or Gyökeres is known

Despite Robert Lewandowski’s age and the natural need for a succession plan, FC Barcelona isn’t rushing to replace their star striker. Sporting director Deco addressed questions regarding Barcelona’s future striker plans in an interview with Mundo Deportivo, emphasizing that Lewandowski remains the club’s priority.

Deco acknowledged that finding another forward at Lewandowski’s level is challenging, mentioning Erling Haaland as a rare talent who might be an option in the future.

However, he downplayed any immediate interest. “We must first determine if Haaland is what we want for the future,” he stated, adding that the club’s current focus is fully on Lewandowski’s performance this season.

Deco also referenced Viktor Gyökeres, the Swedish forward currently excelling at Sporting Portugal, noting that while he’s a talented player, Barcelona has no plans to pursue him.

“It’s not our priority for the moment,” Deco affirmed, underscoring that Barça’s immediate goals revolve around their Polish star’s contributions rather than planning his replacement.
