Omar Marmoush bids emotional farewell to Eintracht Frankfurt before Manchester City Move

Omar Marmoush made a poignant appearance at Deutsche Bank Park just hours before his imminent transfer to Manchester City. The Egyptian forward watched from the stands as Eintracht Frankfurt secured a 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund.

Though he didn’t play, Marmoush joined his teammates for a post-match lap of honor, visibly emotional as he thanked the fans who have supported him throughout his tenure.

Marmoush departs Frankfurt with an impressive record of 37 goals and 19 assists in 65 appearances. His emotional farewell underscored the bond he shares with the club and its supporters.

“The way the team and the entire stadium celebrated Omar speaks volumes about him and the club. Everyone will miss him. As a player and a person, his departure leaves a void,” said Eintracht manager Dino Toppmöller to DAZN.

Marmoush’s €75 million move to Manchester City is one of the biggest transfers for an Egyptian player. The 24-year-old is expected to join the squad in time for their Premier League clash against Chelsea on Saturday.
