Mali’s transition President Assimi Goïta prioritizes healthcare for the vulnerable

In his unwavering commitment to alleviating the struggles of Mali’s most vulnerable citizens, Transition President General Assimi Goïta continues to spearhead humanitarian initiatives. His latest effort focuses on addressing critical healthcare needs, particularly for patients with kidney-related illnesses.

A solar energy system has been installed at the Dialysis Center in Commune IV of Bamako, ensuring uninterrupted power supply for this vital facility.

This initiative aims to enhance the center’s operational capacity, enabling it to function continuously, especially during emergencies, and ultimately save lives.

The center is one of three dialysis facilities established under President Goïta’s leadership to provide specialized care for patients with kidney disease.

The government’s broader goal is to expand access to specialized healthcare infrastructure across the entire country. President Goïta’s vision is to make quality healthcare services available and accessible to all Malians.

The solar installation at the dialysis center addresses previous energy challenges, ensuring reliable and consistent care for patients.

Colonel Assa Badiallo Touré, Mali’s Minister of Health, hailed the initiative as a significant step forward. “This is a major advancement that eases the daily lives of both patients and healthcare workers,” she said.

Expressing gratitude to President Goïta, she emphasized that the center’s energy issues are now a thing of the past, bringing relief and hope to those in need.

Through these efforts, President Goïta continues to demonstrate his dedication to improving the well-being of Mali’s citizens, particularly the most vulnerable, while laying the foundation for a stronger and more resilient healthcare system.
