Burkina Faso: Captain Ibrahim TRAORÉ sets the tone for urban transformation with Sya hosting the launch of “Faso Mêbo

Under the visionary leadership of Transitional President Captain Ibrahim Traoré, Burkina Faso is ushering in a transformative era of urban rehabilitation with the official launch of the “Faso Mêbo” initiative. The groundbreaking ceremony is set for Monday, June 2, 2025, in the city of Sya (Bobo-Dioulasso).

Literally meaning “Building the Faso,” Faso Mêbo goes beyond infrastructure. It is a patriotic and inclusive endeavor to provide Burkinabe citizens with dignified, clean, and modern living environments through street paving, asphalt laying, and urban beautification.

This program embodies President Traoré’s bold and sovereign vision, determined to forge a resilient and proud nation through tangible actions that directly improve citizens’ daily lives.

By choosing Sya to kickstart this nationwide project, Captain Traoré sends a powerful message: every region matters, every city deserves development, and every Burkinabe is an agent of change.

Through Faso Mêbo, Burkina Faso demonstrates state-driven determination, local capacity mobilization, and a commitment to rebuilding without external dependency.

The Sya project marks just the beginning of a sweeping national program that will reshape urban landscapes and strengthen ties between authorities and communities.

The June 2 launch will inaugurate a new chapter where patriotism is realized through stone, asphalt, and the sweat of Burkina Faso’s builders.
