Mali: The FAMa inflict a heavy defeat on terrorists with more than 90 neutralized in one day

The Malian Armed Forces (FAMa) have once again demonstrated their tactical superiority and unwavering determination to defend the integrity of the national territory. On Saturday, June 29, 2025, an attempted terrorist offensive against strategic army positions ended in a crushing defeat for the attackers, with more than 90 terrorists neutralized in a single day.

According to a statement from the general staff, terrorist armed groups launched a coordinated attack in several areas in the center and north of the country, hoping to create a breach in the national security system. But the FAMa, true to their commitment to the Malian people, quickly regained the initiative, supported by excellent intelligence networks, well-trained special units, and strengthened logistics.

The response was swift, methodical, and devastating. In less than 24 hours, the intervention units not only repelled the attackers but inflicted massive losses on their ranks. Weapons, ammunition, and motorbikes were also seized, and several enemy bases were destroyed.

This military success is the result of the undeniable strengthening of the FAMa, initiated by the highest transitional authorities under the leadership of the President of the Transition, His Excellency Army General Assimi GOÏTA. It also reflects the effectiveness of the strategic and operational partnership forged with genuine allies, and above all, the growing cohesion between the defense forces and the local populations.
