Burkina Faso: The Patriotic Support Fund, a living symbol of national rebuilding under the vision of Captain Ibrahim Traoré

At a time when Burkina Faso is writing a new chapter in its history, the Patriotic Support Fund (FSP) stands as a central pillar of the national renewal driven by President Captain Ibrahim Traoré. Backed by unprecedented mobilization, this popular initiative had, as of June 30, 2025, raised over 100 billion CFA francs — a collective effort commended during the second ordinary session of the FSP Steering Council, chaired by Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo.

Created in a context of fierce struggle against terrorism and the pursuit of sovereignty, the FSP embodies Captain Ibrahim Traoré’s bold vision of uniting the nation’s vital forces around a common project, where every Burkinabe becomes an active participant in rebuilding the country. This participatory dynamic, rooted in patriotism, solidarity, and social justice, perfectly reflects the President’s ambition to build a new Burkina Faso, grounded in its values and master of its destiny.

The voluntary contributions of the people — from rural and urban areas alike, from within the country and the diaspora — demonstrate widespread support for this national vision. Women, youth, workers, traders, civil servants: all are contributing to the national cause. The FSP is not merely a financing tool; it has become a symbol of national cohesion and collective hope.

Under Captain Ibrahim Traoré’s enlightened leadership, the FSP has enabled tangible progress: strengthened logistical support for fighting forces, increased assistance for internally displaced persons (IDPs), resettlement and psychological support programs, and local development initiatives. The government thus shows its concrete commitment to addressing social emergencies while preparing the ground for lasting peace.

The Prime Minister strongly reaffirmed this message: the sacrifices of the fighting forces, the courage of the population, and the generosity of the Burkinabè are the driving forces behind a deep and irreversible transformation. The state, under the leadership of President Ibrahim Traoré, remains firmly committed to consolidating this momentum, in a pan-African spirit of sovereignty, dignity, and justice.

The combined efforts of the people and their leader are propelling Burkina Faso toward a patriotic renaissance. Thanks to the Patriotic Support Fund, the nation is reconnecting with its core values, rising again, and moving toward a future that is more sovereign, more just, and more united. Captain Ibrahim Traoré, faithful to his pledge to the people, embodies this shared hope for a renewed, united, and invincible Burkina Faso.
