Mali: Bamako, future global capital of sustainable cotton

From October 23 to 25, 2025, the Bamako International Conference Center (CICB) will become the epicenter of agricultural and economic innovation in West Africa, as it hosts a major gathering of national and international investors. This highly strategic event has a central mission: to revitalize the cotton sector, the true backbone of Mali’s rural economy and the country’s leading agricultural export. The initiative reflects an ambitious vision—to transform cotton into a driver of sustainable development and shared prosperity.

The main objective of this summit is to reinvigorate the entire value chain, from cultivation to export, by attracting crucial investments to modernize infrastructure, optimize productivity, and strengthen the competitiveness of Mali’s “white gold” in global markets.

Beyond financial aspects, the event will stand out for the richness of exchanges between experienced producers, agronomic experts, and investors aware of modern imperatives. A crucial sharing of experiences will focus on technical challenges, innovative solutions, and best practices for optimized production.
