Hilda Baci breaks second Guinness World Record with Jollof Rice

Nigerian chef Hilda Baci continues to make culinary history. After setting the record for the longest cooking marathon in 2023, she has now achieved her second Guinness World Record, this time for preparing the largest portion of jollof rice ever cooked. The event took place at Victoria Island, Lagos, in collaboration with the brand Gino, producing an impressive 8,780 kilograms of this iconic West African dish.

The record attempt was not just a culinary feat, but also a celebration of Nigerian culture. Jollof rice, a symbol of unity and pride across Africa, was showcased in this challenge that drew a large crowd and wide media coverage.

With this second record, Hilda Baci strengthens her position as an ambassador of African cuisine on the global stage. She even updated her Instagram bio to reflect her new title, now presenting herself as a “Chef X2 Guinness World Record Holder.”
