Football/ Real Madrid’s Endrick set for Lyon loan move

Brazilian striker Endrick is on the verge of joining Olympique Lyonnais on a six-month loan deal from Real Madrid, with negotiations between all parties nearing completion. The 19-year-old, seeking regular playing time to secure his spot in Brazil’s 2026 World Cup squad, has struggled for minutes under manager Xabi Alonso.

According to journalist Matteo Moretto, the agreement between player and club is “100% finalised,” while the deal between Madrid and Lyon stands at “99.9% complete.”

The loan will not include an option to buy, reflecting Real Madrid’s long-term faith in their young prospect.

However, the Spanish giants are expected to include appearance-based clauses to ensure adequate playing time for the Brazilian international.

The move would see Endrick replace Martin Satriano as  the central striker of Lyon under coach Paulo Fonseca.

Former Madrid striker Mariano Díaz has endorsed the transition, emphasizing the importance of consistent match exposure for the teenager’s development.

Final discussions remain regarding the coverage of Endrick’s €300,000 monthly salary and the loan fee.

The arrangement represents a strategic move for all parties, offering Lyon attacking reinforcement while providing Endrick the platform to accelerate his growth at the highest level.
