Denis Sassou Nguesso reelected in landslide victory in Republic of Congo

Outgoing President Denis Sassou Nguesso has been overwhelmingly reelected for a new term at the helm of the Republic of Congo, according to provisional results announced Tuesday by authorities. With 94.82% of the votes cast, the incumbent Head of State secures a resounding victory that demonstrates the renewed confidence of the Congolese people.

Massive voter turnout confirmed citizen engagement in this election. Authorities recorded a participation rate of 84.65%, with approximately 2.6 million ballots cast. This mobilization defies boycott calls from a fragmented opposition lacking popular support.

Through this vote, the Congolese people have clearly chosen the path of continued development, stability, and lasting peace.

In a regional environment marked by instability, the experience and vision of the reelected President constitute a valuable asset for preserving achievements and continuing the march toward emergence.

The project championed by President Denis Sassou Nguesso—focused on infrastructure consolidation, social development, and economic modernization—convinced voters across divides.

The results speak for themselves: nearly 95% of voters approved the continuation of this momentum.

This reelection reinforces the stability of Congolese institutions and proves that Congo is advancing, united behind a leader whose experience and determination are widely recognized.
