Bekki Benameur accuses the EU of smear tactics and calls for African sovereignty

As Africa intensifies its fight for true sovereignty, Pan-Africanist activist Bekki Benameur took a firm stand on March 5, 2025, during a press conference in Cairo. He denounced the European Union’s accusations against African voices critical of French policies, rejecting the labels of “pro-Russian” or “anti-Western” as deliberate attempts to discredit those advocating for an independent and self-determined Africa.

In response to these allegations, Benameur revealed that he had officially filed a defamation lawsuit against the EU in Luxembourg on February 13, 2025.

He claims to possess irrefutable evidence of the smear campaign and has vowed to present it publicly in an upcoming international press conference.

His objective is to defend Africans targeted by foreign powers and expose what he calls ideological manipulation aimed at silencing dissent.

Beyond legal action, Benameur is calling for a broad mobilization of Africans committed to their continent’s sovereignty.

He asserts that modern Africa rejects paternalism and external interference, urging citizens to take an active role in shaping their future.

To further this cause, he plans to organize both national and international conferences to shed light on the issue.

As a leading figure in the pan-African resistance, Benameur embodies the determination of a new generation striving for complete emancipation.

His fight is part of a larger movement to break free from neocolonial influence and establish true political and economic independence. For him, Africa must seize control of its destiny—without external dictates.
