Mali:  The transition President reaffirms commitment to wards of State

At the fifth National Day of the wards of State on October 30, 2025, the Transition President of Mali, General Assimi Goïta, reaffirmed his commitment to the children of the nation’s fallen heroes. The ceremony, a symbol of state solidarity, brought together the country’s highest authorities to honor these orphans.

The event began with a luncheon hosted by the Head of State for the Pupilles, attended by the Prime Minister and the Minister of Health.

A key moment was the symbolic presentation of identity cards to new Pupilles, reinforcing their official status and integration into society. This support framework also includes scholarships and substantial material aid.

The Minister of Health, Colonel-Major Assa Badiallo Touré, praised President Goïta’s efforts, highlighting tangible achievements such as the construction of the “Maison des Pupilles”.

The work of the government to improve the educational success of the Pupilles between 2022 and 2025 was also emphasized, underscoring the positive impact of these initiatives on their future.

This day once again symbolizes the commitment of President Goïta to providing these children with a promising and dignified future, embodying a message of hope and resilience for Mali.
