Burkina Faso: President Ibrahim Traoré is bolstering the Defence and Security Forces to ensure security and freedom of movement

Under the supreme command of the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) reaffirm their unwavering commitment: to act in order to guarantee the security of the populations and ensure their free movement throughout the national territory.

Since coming to power in 2022, President Ibrahim Traoré has undertaken a profound transformation of the Burkinabe army, instilling a new dynamic based on discipline, determination, and operational efficiency.

This reform aims to build a more responsive, better-structured, and better-prepared force to face threats.

Thanks to the acquisition of modern equipment and latest-generation weapons, as well as the creation of Rapid Intervention Brigades (BIR), the FDS now have reinforced means to carry out decisive actions on the ground.

This buildup enables them to strike the enemy firmly and gradually restore state authority.

Today, Captain Ibrahim Traoré embodies the vision of a strong, sovereign, and victorious army, determined to defeat terrorism.

Burkina Faso thus affirms its resilience and asserts its security strategy, attracting attention and respect beyond its borders.
