President Faure Gnassingbe’s proactive measures: A comprehensive financial support Program for Rebuilding Agoè-Assiyéyé market

Under the leadership of President Faure Gnassingbé, the Togolese government has taken decisive steps to address the profound challenges faced by the women of the devastated Agoè-Assiyéyé market. Initiating a comprehensive financial support program, President Gnassingbe’s administration demonstrates a steadfast commitment to rebuilding and enhancing the well-being of the affected population.

A series of strategic measures has been rolled out to assist the women in resuming their economic activities.

This includes the establishment of a temporary market site in Togograin within the Agoè-Nyivé 1 municipality, agreements providing a one-year moratorium on loan repayments from the date of the disaster, and the introduction of a 0% interest rate bridge loan to facilitate capital reconstruction.

In an unprecedented move, President Gnassingbe’s government has expanded the FNFI (National Inclusive Finance Fund) insurance program to cover 50% of all victims and 100% for beneficiaries of the FNFI program.

Simultaneously, a refinancing window has been opened for all decentralized financial services operating within the impacted market.

For those seeking detailed information on accessing credit, prospective applicants are urged to contact their regular financial institution or reach out to the FNFI toll-free number at 80 00 00 12, as outlined in the official communication from the Togolese government.

President Faure Gnassingbe’s administration’s proactive measures exemplify a commitment to addressing both the tangible and emotional needs of the affected citizens.

Through strategic investments in the reconstruction of the women from the devastated Agoè-Assiyéyé market, the government not only aims to restore immediate economic stability but also envisions fostering sustainable and inclusive development for the future.
