Burkina Faso: Burkina Faso’s army steps up its fight against terrorism

Continuing their mission to neutralize those responsible for the terrorist attacks on February 25, the Burkinabe army carried out decisive strikes on Thursday, marking another step towards security and stability in the region.

Following the successful targeting of assailants in Tankoualou, another operation was conducted against a group of terrorists involved in the Natiaboani attack, as reported by security sources.

The terrorists, believing they had evaded pursuit after the Natiaboani attack in the Eastern region, were caught off guard by the determination and patience of the Burkinabe army pilots.

On Thursday, February 29, 2024, a column of armed motorcyclists sought to escape the region to join other terrorist hideouts, but their escape was abruptly halted en route.

As they were about to continue their journey, a missile emerged from the sky, striking the criminals with unprecedented force.

Unable to react in time, the few survivors futilely attempted to flee, but they were quickly overtaken by their fate.

Witnesses report that their desperate movements were abruptly halted, leaving behind an eerie silence.

These targeted strikes demonstrate the unwavering commitment of the Burkinabe army to track and neutralize terrorist groups threatening peace and security in the country.

They also highlight the effectiveness of intelligence and surveillance operations, allowing for the precise identification and targeting of assailants’ positions.
