The possible return of Claude Le Roy: New Head Coach for Cameroon’s indomitable Lions

Claude Le Roy is set to become the new head coach of the Cameroon national football team, the indomitable Lions. Despite not having coached for three years since leaving Togo, the renowned “White Sorcerer” is making a return to African football.

Le Roy previously led Cameroon to victory in the 1988 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and is now set for a comeback.

The 76-year-old has reportedly agreed to take on the role, replacing Rigobert Song. His coaching staff may include Patrick Mboma and Julien Mette.

Le Roy’s close relationship with Fecafoot President Samuel Eto’o suggests a promising future for Cameroonian football.

With the 2025 AFCON approaching, Cameroon is banking on Le Roy’s experience and African football knowledge to lead the team to success.
