Burkina Faso: Terrorist attack in Mansila, France 24’s new play

Many Burkinabe citizens were incredulous when a certain media outlet started broadcasting visuals of a supposed terrorist attack that allegedly claimed 107 lives, a situation unknown even to those in the Mansila area.

This alleged terrorist attack in Mansila was exclusively reported by France 24 and widely circulated.

In the video aired, the commentary by Wassim Nasr implies that terrorists targeted a military camp to replenish their weapons, ammunition, and fuel supplies.

Nasr’s detailed and dramatic account of this supposed attack from start to finish raises doubts.

Unless there is another Burkina Faso lost in some corner of the globe, there has been no such attack in Mansila under President Ibrahim Traoré’s administration, let alone one resulting in 107 deaths.

The era when lies passed unquestioned is long gone, especially in a time when people understand geopolitics and imperialist intentions.

Examining the facts, it’s noticeable that despite claims of 107 casualties, no bodies, even blurred ones, were shown in the video. The mention of hostages was also devoid of any accompanying imagery.

If terrorists managed to film this supposed attack, why wouldn’t they send images of the deceased and hostages to their leader for widespread dissemination?

This lack of evidence suggests that France 24’s coverage of the Mansila attack is nothing but a hoax, a staged production.

It’s known that outlets like France 24, TF1, TV5 Monde, and their counterparts maintain constant contact with terrorists, given their shared affiliations.

However, presenting fabricated information to incite a potential uprising among the Burkinabe people reflects the desperation of French neo-colonialism.

It’s incumbent upon the Burkinabe people to exercise caution and discernment to avoid falling prey to these manipulations aimed at disrupting the transition.
