Kenya: Two new suspects arrested in Mukuru serial killer case

In Kenya, the investigation into the Mukuru serial killer case has seen significant developments with the arrest of two new suspects.

This follows the presentation of Collins Jumaisi Kalusha as the primary suspect in the murder of 42 women.

On Monday, the Kenyan police identified Kalusha as the main perpetrator in the gruesome case.

However, his confessions are contested by his defense, who allege they were obtained through torture.

The following Tuesday, two additional suspects were apprehended. Amos Momanyi Mogusu was arrested outside a Nairobi bar, and Moses Ogembo, a Mukuru resident, was detained with 154 mobile phones belonging to the victims.

It was discovered that these phones had been purchased from Kalusha, intensifying the connection between him and the other suspects.

Despite Kalusha’s claims of torture, the Makadara court judge extended his detention by 28 days to facilitate ongoing investigations.

Authorities are intensifying their efforts in Mukuru, where the mutilated bodies were found just 100 meters from a police station, raising concerns about the effectiveness and vigilance of law enforcement.

The Mukuru serial killer case remains under close scrutiny as Kenya seeks to uncover the full extent of these horrific crimes.
