Francis Ngannou to return to MMA in October after boxing stint

Riyadh, August 7, 2024 — Four months after his crushing defeat to Anthony Joshua, Francis Ngannou is set to make his return to MMA this October with a highly anticipated bout in Saudi Arabia.

“The Predator is Back”

Following two high-profile boxing matches—an October 2023 points loss to Tyson Fury and a knockout defeat to Anthony Joshua in March 2024—the 37-year-old Cameroonian fighter will step back into the MMA cage.

The Professional Fighters League (PFL) has announced that Ngannou will face off against champion Renan Ferreira on October 19 in Saudi Arabia.

A Star-Studded event

The fight night will also feature a compelling featherweight clash between Cris Cyborg (39, 1.72m, 66kg, 27-2) and Larissa Pacheco (29, 1.72m, 66kg, 23-4), promising an action-packed evening for MMA fans.

Ngannou’s return to the cage is highly anticipated, as fans are eager to see if “The Predator” can reclaim his dominance in the MMA world after his venture into boxing.
