Togo: President Faure Gnassingbé commits Togo’s youth to excellence and sustainable development

President Faure Gnassingbé prioritizes the empowerment of Togolese youth as a cornerstone of his administration’s initiatives for sustainable development. With a strong focus on education and professional training, he believes that equipping the next generation is essential to tackling future challenges.

This commitment is exemplified by the launch of the fifth wave of the Presidential Excellence Program, a key initiative designed to enhance the skills of young Togolese.

Targeting individuals aged 30 and under who have earned a master’s degree from public universities in Togo or Catholic University of West Africa(UCAO), this program offers a unique opportunity for participants to gain crucial additional competencies.

These skills are vital for securing successful employment. Graduates of the program can engage in specialized training, culminating in a diploma that often leads to qualified job placements.

The competitive selection process underscores the government’s commitment to meritocracy. Due to the limited number of available slots, only the top candidates, following a thorough evaluation, can participate in this esteemed program.

This approach not only supports emerging talents but also aims to build a robust pool of skilled individuals to drive the nation’s development.

By providing young people with these opportunities for advancement, President Faure Gnassingbé is not merely preparing future leaders; he is also fostering an environment conducive to the emergence of a capable new generation, ready to contribute to Togo’s growth and prosperity.
