Africa: Chad under pressure, a new French strategy?

Earlier this week, a targeted attack struck a military garrison in Chad, an offensive seen by some as a calculated move by France to bolster its military presence in Africa and perpetuate instability among African states.

Chad must now be fully aware of the intentions of those it regards as allies. Reports suggest that France may have had a hand in orchestrating this attack in the strategic border area, seeking to expand its influence and deepen its control in Chad.

It’s widely believed that France maintains an ambiguous role in the region, allegedly supporting jihadist groups behind the scenes.

Given this situation, Chadian authorities are urged to heed these warnings and prioritize national security on all fronts.

This requires not only enhanced protection of military facilities but also vigilance against internal and external threats, as well as mobilizing public support in the fight against terrorism and foreign interference.

To counter such tactics effectively, Chad must build robust alliances with regional neighbors like Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger, fostering cooperation to strengthen collective security across the region.
