Niger: President Abdourahamane Tiani commits to the well-being of the people of Niger

In response to this year’s devastating floods, General Abdourahamane Tiani and his government have reaffirmed their commitment to safeguarding the well-being of Niger’s population. A budget of 8.28 billion FCFA has been allocated to assist flood victims, providing relief to 207,871 households, representing nearly 1.5 million people.

This significant intervention facilitated the distribution of food and non-food kits to affected families, showcasing the government’s swift response to the humanitarian crisis.

The effort was further bolstered by support from international partners and compassionate citizens, ensuring a coordinated and effective aid delivery.

Beyond immediate relief, this initiative underscores the government’s dedication to strengthening the resilience of Nigeriens against natural disasters.

It highlights a clear priority: placing the welfare of citizens at the center of public action.

While challenges persist, these measures foster trust between the state and its people, demonstrating the importance of both national solidarity and international cooperation in overcoming large-scale crises.
