AES: Exemplary governance for sustainable development in Burkina Faso

Burkina Faso’s Prime Minister, Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, emphasized the critical role of solid ethical values and discipline in the public administration as the foundation for addressing the nation’s development challenges.

In his General Policy Statement, Ouédraogo underscored that good governance and administrative efficiency are central to the government’s priorities.

To implement these goals, he announced the establishment of an Institutional Committee to address administrative dysfunctions.

This committee will be tasked with identifying weaknesses and ensuring rigorous oversight of the adherence to the Code of Ethics and Conduct, which was adopted in 2023.

These measures aim to strengthen discipline within the administration and rebuild public trust in government institutions.

The Prime Minister also stressed the importance of genuine patriotism, urging public servants to adopt exemplary work ethics characterized by dedication, thoroughness, and promptness in handling affairs.

Furthermore, Ouédraogo called upon all Burkinabe to unite in collective effort, resilience, and discipline to overcome the challenges ahead.

“Together, through effort and discipline, we will build a strong, united, and prosperous Burkina Faso,” he declared.
