Mali’s Transition leader Champions Youth Empowerment and National Development
General Assimi Goïta, President of the Transition and Head of State of Mali, has reiterated his commitment to fostering key values essential for the country’s progress. Speaking at the official presentation of a symbolic cheque to young APEJ graduates, he emphasized the importance of excellence, integrity, and innovation.
The President urged the youth to embody these principles as active contributors to Mali’s reconstruction and future prosperity.
The event highlighted a government initiative providing a financial boost of 1,130,867,423 CFA francs, aimed at equipping young Malians with critical skills for socio-professional integration.
Through a program granting internships to 2,500 candidates from a pool of 23,755 applicants, the initiative opens doors for young people to gain valuable experience in public services, NGOs, and consular partners.
This effort is part of a broader strategy to promote youth employment, vocational training, and entrepreneurship.
General Goïta reaffirmed the government’s dedication to enhancing support mechanisms for young people, citing projects such as FIER 2 and training programs in Sikasso.
These initiatives reflect a vision of building a resilient, self-reliant Mali, driven by an empowered and skilled younger generation.
