Maodo Malick Diop, Head of the National Hygiene Service, said that there are cases of dengue fever everywhere, with 57 cases recorded in the Pikine health district”.
The Prefect of Pikine, Moustapha Ndiaye, warned: «I urge you, dear people, to be vigilant and to cooperate with the hygiene officers during this vector control operation, because the sole aim of this operation is to improve hygiene and safety conditions».
For the Prefect of Pikine, «the choice of Pikine and Guinaw rails for the launch of the campaign is not accidental, as there are cases of dengue fever, but also pools that sometimes encourage the development of larvae».
