Burkina Faso/Reconquest of the territory:  General mobilisation is necessary

In the midst of a relentless battle against terrorism and the imperative to reclaim full control of Burkina Faso’s territory, the imperative for widespread mobilization has been underscored by the Center-North Patriotic Defense Coalition (CODP/CN).

During their recent assembly, members of this coalition reaffirmed their unwavering backing for the armed forces, while issuing a fervent call to the entire populace of the Center-North region to stand together, exhibit solidarity, and provide unwavering support for the Defense and Volunteer Defense Forces (FDS and VDP).

It’s widely acknowledged that this particular region has borne the brunt of terrorist activities.

Through the valor of the combat forces and the resolute determination of all stakeholders, bolstered by the astute leadership of the country’s authorities under

President Ibrahim TRAORE, significant strides have been made in reclaiming control over many localities in the region.

This has enabled internally displaced persons to return to their homes and resume their daily lives without the specter of fear looming over them.

The concerted efforts to fully liberate the territory and safeguard the nation’s sovereignty, spearheaded by the country’s leadership, are deserving of unwavering support from patriotic citizens, ensuring their successful fruition.

Let us not overlook the dedication and sacrifice of the fighters, who also warrant our support and encouragement for a more effective campaign.

A spontaneous fundraising initiative at the gathering reportedly amassed 247,150 CFA francs in aid of the Volunteer Defense Forces.

Organizers underscored the belief that only through a unified front can the Burkinabe triumph over terrorism and effectively secure the entirety of the nation’s territory.
