Saka’s Injury withdrawal adds concern for England ahead of Brazil clash

England is gearing up to face Brazil this Saturday night at Wembley Stadium in their final international break before Euro 2024. However, the Three Lions will have to do without Bukayo Saka, who has been ruled out of the match. Initially named in the England squad for the friendly matches against Belgium and Brazil, Saka missed the collective training session at St. George’s Park on Wednesday.

Alongside Harry Kane, Jordan Henderson, and Cole Palmer, he was confined to individual indoor training, away from the team.

Finally, journalist Con Harrison reported on Thursday that the Arsenal winger has left the Three Lions’ training camp as a precaution and returned to Arsenal for further assessment.

Subsequently, England officially confirmed the news, stating that «the player has returned to his club to continue rehabilitation for an injury he brought with him to St. George’s Park».

Meanwhile, Arsenal currently leads the Premier League with 64 points ahead of Liverpool on goal difference and one point ahead of Pep Guardiola’s team.

Arsenal will face Manchester City in a crucial match for the Premier League title after the international break.

However, there’s no indication that Bukayo Saka will be absent for this clash. In addition to the 22-year-old, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has seen one of his international players withdraw: Gabriel Magalhaes with Brazil.
