Burkina-Faso: FDS and VDP welcomed as Heroes Following Successful Supply Operation in Gayeri

Gayeri has become the latest town to receive essential supplies following Djibo’s replenishment. This marks the second time since January that supply convoys have reached Gayéri, bringing joy to its residents. The beneficiary populace commends the efforts of the transitional government, local authorities, economic operators, transporters, and all stakeholders working towards the well-being of Burkinabe citizens.

The commitment of the defense and security forces (FDS) and Volunteer Defense Forces (VDP) has played a crucial role in meeting the population’s needs.

During their journey to Gayéri in the Komondjari province, in the Eastern region, combat forces overcame obstacles, including defusing several explosive devices between Fada N’Gourma and Gayéri.

Upon arrival, they were greeted with cheers and applause from the population, demonstrating their gratitude and pride towards these individuals who make the ultimate sacrifice for the country’s security and peace.

Since the transition under Captain Ibrahim Traoré, the people of Gayeri, like all Burkinabe citizens, have been unwavering supporters of efforts to reclaim territory. They have already raised a sum of 1,405,475 CFA francs for peace efforts.
