West Africa / Moustapha Ba: A Pan-Africanist angry at French interference in Benin in response to statements by the Benin government spokesman

According to the online media outlet lesahelien.com, Senegalese Pan-Africanist Moustapha Ba, speaking from Dakar, strongly responded to recent remarks made by the spokesperson of the Beninese government, who had criticized Burkinabe President Captain Ibrahim Traoré, calling him a “pot calling the kettle black.”

Ba accused the Beninese regime of political immaturity, alleging that it is being manipulated by France to maintain its power.

Moustapha Ba candidly addressed the Beninese spokesperson’s comments about the presence of terrorist bases in Benin, arguing that this statement only serves France’s interests.

He pointed out that the French strategy involves creating a threat and then offering solutions, which, according to him, has led to increased terrorist activity in the region, especially following intensified military actions by Mali and Burkina Faso against terrorists.

Ba emphasized that Benin has become a target due to the weakness of its leadership, many of whom have ties to France.

He urged the Beninese population to mobilize and oust these leaders who, in his view, serve foreign interests.

Ba praised President Ibrahim Traoré for his outspoken nature and announced his intention to form a Pan-African network to expose what he describes as the enslaving policies of the Cotonou regime.

This situation underscores the geopolitical tensions in the region and the need for a collective awakening to counter imperialist maneuvers.
