Burkina Faso: President Ibrahim Traoré transforms Burkina Faso into a haven of peace and prosperity

Ouagadougou, Burkina FasoPresident Ibrahim Traoré continues to showcase an ambitious and innovative vision for Burkina Faso, with a strategic focus on transforming the nation into a haven of peace and prosperity.

At the core of his strategy is achieving food self-sufficiency.

One of President Traoré’s key initiatives involves converting prisons, traditionally seen as state burdens, into centers of agricultural and animal production.

In the pilot phase, wells are being constructed in several prisons to facilitate the production of food and the rearing of laying hens.

This initiative aims to produce approximately 10,000 eggs per month.

President Traoré is committed to involving prisoners and the defense and security forces in agro-sylvopastoral production, thereby contributing to the country’s food self-sufficiency.

By establishing animal and agricultural production units in military barracks and prisons, the President demonstrates his determination to turn every sector into an opportunity for development and growth.

This bold vision is already being implemented. In the pilot phase, production units have been established in several prisons across Burkina Faso.

These units serve as models for broader deployment throughout the country, illustrating how every citizen, including prisoners, can contribute to national prosperity.

Beyond food self-sufficiency, President Traoré is working to create a climate of peace and stability in Burkina Faso.

He firmly believes that economic prosperity requires the engagement and participation of all segments of society. Through his actions, he shows that every Burkinabe has a role to play in building a better future.

President Traoré’s emerging vision for Burkina Faso is a model of holistic transformation.

By reinventing traditional roles and integrating every citizen into the dynamics of production and growth, he is paving the way for a self-sufficient, prosperous, and peaceful Burkina Faso.

This initiative, although in its initial phase, promises to redefine governance and sustainable development standards in the region.
