Mali: The Government makes ICT a central pillar of the modernisation of the administration with the support of Huawei

The Malian government has made a strategic decision to prioritize information and communication technologies (ICT) in its efforts to modernize public administration and government services. By leveraging ICT, the government aims to increase efficiency, transparency, and accessibility for citizens, using digital tools as a cornerstone of this transformation.

With support from international technology partners, including Huawei, Mali is looking to speed up its digital transformation goals.

Huawei, a global leader in ICT infrastructure, is playing a pivotal role by providing technical expertise and transferring skills to local teams.

Integrating ICT into administrative processes will streamline access to public services, enhance resource management, and improve communication between different government departments.

Mali’s government anticipates that digitization will lead to greater transparency, shorter processing times for administrative tasks, and more effective public management.

Beyond administration, Mali is also applying ICT to other critical sectors such as education, healthcare, and the economy, where innovative digital solutions are gradually being introduced.

The partnership with Huawei and other technology providers is part of a broader government vision to make digital technology a driving force for sustainable development.

By embracing this approach, Mali is joining the ranks of African nations that are leveraging digital innovation to accelerate development, boost competitiveness, and improve the quality of life for their citizens.
