Mohamed Salah commits future to Liverpool with New two-year deal

Liverpool have secured a major coup by retaining Mohamed Salah on a renewed contract through 2027, ending speculation about the Egyptian star’s potential move to Saudi Arabia. The 32-year-old forward, whose previous deal was set to expire this summer, has penned fresh terms to extend his Anfield legacy after eight prolific seasons.

Since arriving from Roma in 2017 for £34 million, Salah has become a modern Liverpool icon, amassing 243 goals and 109 assists across 394 appearances.

His new agreement—reportedly maintaining his status as the club’s highest earner at over £350,000 weekly—reflects his enduring value despite interest from the Saudi Pro League.

“I signed because we can win more trophies,” Salah stated, emphasizing his belief in Liverpool’s rebuilt squad under Arne Slot.

The Reds’ record Premier League scorer (32 goals this season) now aims to add to his six major honors, including the 2020 league title and 2019 Champions League.

While Virgil van Dijk’s extension talks progress, Trent Alexander-Arnold’s future remains uncertain amid Real Madrid links. Salah’s renewal delivers stability as Liverpool chase a 20th league crown, currently leading Arsenal by 11 points.
