Football-Mercato/Galatasaray makes bold move to keep Osimhen permanently

Galatasaray is determined to turn the loan of Victor Osimhen spell into a permanent stay. The Nigerian striker has become a fan favorite in Istanbul, with club officials now preparing an ambitious offer to secure his services long-term.

According to Sky Germany, the Süper Lig champions have tabled a lucrative four-year contract worth €15 million net annually. However, the deal hinges on negotiations with Napoli, as Galatasaray hopes to lower the striker’s €75 million release clause to a more manageable €60 million.

The 26-year-old forward’s explosive performances have convinced Galatasaray’s hierarchy to break their wage structure.

Club president Dursun Özbek sees Osimhen as the cornerstone of their Champions League ambitions and is personally driving the transfer push.

While Napoli initially planned to cash in on their record signing, Osimhen’s public embrace of Turkish culture and chemistry with teammates gives Galatasaray unexpected leverage.

The coming weeks will test whether the Italian club values immediate profit over the player’s clear preference.

Should the deal materialize, it would represent one of the most significant transfers in Turkish football history, signaling Galatasaray’s resurgence as a European force.
